Game postponed as Lions hit with late injury crisis

Lions were hoping to put to bed a disappointing loss to Uppermill that occurred last Saturday, as they were set to take on Moston Brook Greens this week only for the match to be postponed late Thursday night.

Lions where already without reliable defender Miller this week as he and coach Chris planned a weekend away to Matlock Bath leaving it all to do for coach Andy with his first official game in charge.

Next to the list was young Alex who had to withdraw for safety reasons due to a suspected appendicitis, Andy was left in turmoil as his defense line had been obliterated.

Andy had spent hours planning his line up and tactics and was still ready to go and set his team up with a much changed line up only for it to be put into doubt once more as late news had come in regarding Captain fantastic Keaton who had injured himself whilst playing football in school with former player Logan.

A hospital visit confirmed disappointing news of an ankle ligament tear which unfortunately for Lions could mean up to 6 weeks on the sidelines.

Fortunately for Lions it couldn't have come at a better time as they have no game next week so it should give Keaton and Alex a little longer to recover.
